I love when winter meets spring, don’t you do that to? We haven’t had much winter lately, not for several years. 5-6 years ago we had some fantastic winters in opposite to the latest years. We had lots of snow and then spring arrived. As a result the snow was slowly melting in the warm sun, much as it “should be”, according to me.
While I have been looking in my photo archives I have found some amazing winter photos. It seems like we have had days that are cold and crispy, while the sun light makes the whole world several shades lighter.
I also found wonderful, sunny spring day with melting ice. Finally the sea is slowly winning the fight against the compact ice and it breaks apart.
It’s lovely to see how finally the spring wins the fight and the water gets it’s freedom. It’s much the opposite to last year when we did not even notice that winter turned into spring. The last photos in this post is taken in springtime and summer. Both with wonderful evening light and stunning reflection. I hope you will enjoy and leave your opinion below about winter meets spring! What do you think about when you see this photos?
The best thing about April and the cold, unstable weather is the great clouds… I love the skies in April, it never bores me:) Lot of clouds and some sun shining through. That makes it all a bit dramatic and fun to catch. One second its sunny, the next its raining. And between its just clouds with some sun lighting them up, awesome if you ask me.
This evening I was on a small hiking tour and caught some clouds, but unfortunately its not many photos that looks like I planned… It was a bit windy and there was a lot of unsharp branches in my pictures. Here you can see two of the pics from the hiking, in my opinion the best once.
It happens from time to time, more often now than before…
I take photos with my phone. I heard that the best camera is the one that you brings with you and while my days are very short of time to do anything more than work or study, iphonephotography is good enough. Or what do you say? Some years ago I wouldn’t have said that but I than had a lot of time to take photos. I love taking photos and I miss it so I work my way back and long for the days in summer when the school is off:)
So here I bring you some more flowers. I found the most amazing colored wall with some magnolia buds just in front, I think it makes a rather cool effect in the first photo.
I selldom get out in the forest these days. I’m very busy, working and studying full time… Not much photos or blogging… I will be back in about sex weeks, when school is of for the summer. I hope you stay and return here when I have mor time again.
I must say, I’m happy to see all visitors on my posts, thank you!
Well, last Sunday I took some time of to visit the forest. I know a place where the ground is all blue with the small flower hepatica. I love their color and they are rare flowers here so I’m happy to see so many of them:)
After my walk I felt happy and filled with a lot of new energy, I should do this more often… !

We have now entered May and we are in the middle of springtime, if you ask me this is the best time of the year. May and June are such beautiful months with all blossoms and all light green in different shades.
One thing that really means that spring is here is soap bubbles. My children loves them and so do I;)
This season also gives us who loves gardening a lot of enjoyable things. Buds that are going to burst out in wonderful blossom. Every tree has its own green color. The next four photos shows 2 wonderful buds and some of all the wonderful green in nature right now. And finally; the flower of flowers, the one that last only for a few days but bear such beauty.
We had a sunny saturday yesterday. I can hardly think of any better things to do than visit the archipelago. It’s not only offering a wonderful sea view but also some magnificent nature in the surroundings. Wonderful forest with low trees that have been through some hard times standing up against all wind coming in from the sea. Yesterday was not windy, that is unusual by the sea, it was almost calm, no waves…
We took a trip out on the rocks to capture the sea view with all small islands and the sun reflection the water. We also walked in a park-like forest. All in a pure and fresh light green color. Springtime brings the best out of the nature. Beauty is all around.
I will share some photos from my day. Some showing the water and rocks, some from the forest. I hope they also show some of the beauty I saw out there:) I took a lot of photos and I have chosen to publish just a few today, and some more in a later post.
Please give a vote on one of my photos to give me a hint what you like the most. If you hover the cursor over the photos, there will be a description for each of them. Also if you click on one photo you can watch them all enlarged.
I love this season, springtime is my favorite time of the year. And why is that? The answer is simple; my garden life begins. Next to photography, gardening is my greatest passion in life. These are the two hobbies that take almost all my time off. And it is possible, of course to combine, gardens, flowers and trees are wonderful objectives for a photographer.
My children are of corse my number one priority but they also like gardening. We plant and build, place stones and buy flowers. We have enjoyed a few days off in sunny weather and now there is big things happening in my garden. I must say my “garden” is really small but I can manage to get a lot of plants and flowers to fit in there:) We also put some seeds in the earth this monday so now we are waiting for our carrots, salad, peas and more to grow.
Garden life photos
The photos in this post are taken on the flowers that I have in my garden right now, there are more to come, but these first are special to me.
Look at the photos and enjoy my flowers and my garden life!
This weeks theme in theWeekly Photo Challenge(click the link to read more) is street life. A great theme with lot of opportunities. Last weekend I went to Stockholm, a beautiful and sunny day when springtime was in the air. There where Cherry trees int heir first blossom (se my last post) and a lot of people was out in the sun.
For this theme I have chosen some photos from that visit in Stockholm. Somehow ended up with a lot of “sea life” photos, not unusual going to Stockholm, but these will be presented in a later post. Here comes my street life entry from Stockholm street life;
Yesterday when I visited Stockholm I found out that the cherry trees in Kungsträdgården just started to blossom. This is an annual “event” for people in Stockholm and from outside town. Some weeks not far from now the trees will be all covered in pink, it is a magnificent view. I will return to see if I am able to capture that as well.
The trees are supposed to blossom in the end of April or early May, so this is quite a finding:) All trees is not yet in full bloom, but there was plenty of flowers already.
It was not only Stockholm cherry trees in blossom I captured I also captured street life (here) and som sea life (here). You can find my posts by clicking the links.
