Swedish people is always concerned about the weather. We talk about it almost everyday and everywhere. That means in the pub, in the office, in schools… I think it might have something to do with the fact that we can almost never trust the weather. There is just a few weeks of really great summer weather if we are lucky:)
And now for a few weeks we have had some shaky days with rain, sun, thunder, hail… Often when evening comes the rain stop and the sun breaks through all the clouds. And for me who loves great scenes and views this is awesome. The light is magic these evenings and the air feels all fresh. Some dramatic dark clouds combined with some sun makes wonderful subjects!
Another evening I visited our archipelago, and spotted some more dramatic skies. The rain stopped just before I arrived, and the sun came through. I enjoyed that visit a lot, below you can see some of the photos:
It feels strange to have rainy days in May. It’s like autumn but much greener. Strange feeling and we all hope for better weather!
Today I had a long walk, not all in rain, it was holding up when I left. I was equipped with a plastic bag for my camera, a winter coat, gloves, not really an outfit in May. Maybe you know the feel in; you have been inside all day, at work, the rain has poured down all they and when you arrive home it has stopped! You just have to get out for some air and some walking. The air after rain is fresh and this time a year a grey day also contains some green colors. The hope for better days live.
Such difference from the sunny days and all wonderful flower shots. But I kind of like the contrast it’s rather cool.–Tweet this
What about my photos then? I managed to take some photos before it started to rain. I headed for the waterfront in our town. Not so much green colors here but some. And some amazing clouds… I love dramatic skies, and that is not always in the meaning colorful, also cool clouds and light attracts my camera.
Well that was a fun walk, some photos are not town in the paper basket, I actually kept some of them. But that’s it for now, enough of rainy days, now we would like the sun to come back and warm us. The temperature outside is below 10 °C and that sure is not what I call springtime;)
Sometimes in some conditions the water gets a very special look. It gets a metallic look. The surface seems smooth and like it is almost still. I am noot sure that you know what I mean, I took some photos and I hope you can see it:-) Anyway it was a really nice view when I was out waking this saturday.
And finally in the end of my walk I saw this “burning sky” reflecting in the water, a stunning view. This time a year the sun is never really getting up properly so this is about 14.30 in the day.
Pictures taken in Rome in January. Some real bad weather coming up. Clouds can be so fascinating.
