As a person who loves to hike, I have walked many roads:) I walk in the forest, by the sea in the archipelago. I walk in mountains and in cities and it’s always exciting to find out what’s around the corner.
Cities are fascinating. There is always some kind of surprises and they hold a lot of different environments: houses, parks, shops, streets, water and so on. My interpretation of this weeks WordPress Photo Challenge brings me back to Stockholm and a trip to the south part of the city. On this walk I found small gardens with sunflowers:
Suddenly when I looked up, I saw a clear blue sky and some wonderful old houses, reaching for the sky.
I continued my walk on a narrow path and came back to city streets, and the view was amazing. I strolled down the street and continued my walk down the road taken.
Light that create a shadow -different sides of the same coin:) I love the structure of shadows on the wall and the possibility to create different structures, playing with different light and source of light. Of course the shadow is also created by the object in focus. These components are one of the central things in photography, when I take photos indoors. I think it’s similar to all artistic expressions, that it is all about playing with and interpreting the surroundings. Fun and enjoyable!
This post is a interpretation of the theme in the WordPress Weekly Photo Challenge. I hope you enjoy the picture and if you would like to see more photos of shadows please click here.
Solitude is a positive word for me. I love to walk on empty streets all by myself, left with my thoughts. I need it to recover, it might be a walk in an empty street or spending time alone in nature. In stressful times its easy to forget about taking time for myself, which makes me even more stressed. This photo shows a narrow street in the old town, Stockholm. It’s crowded in the old town, but some of the narrow streets are empty. Wonder feeling walking around all alone:)

While visiting Varenna, by the lake Como we where hiking in the mountains. One day we visited an old castle, Castello di vezio, situated on e hill above the city. Here we found some statues that was a bit different from the others we saw on the trip. They was where simplified and without faces. This one was sitting “in” the wall of the castle. You can read more about the Castel here.

I have chosen to post a photo of a reflection in the water. The photo is taken an early morning. You can see some parts of a boat looking in the mirror:) You can also see the shadow of a life boy in the water. For more entries in the weekly photo challenge, please click here.

It took me some time to find a curve that I thought would make a great interpretation for this weeks theme. Nature is filled with natural curves, all shaped in artistic ways.
I found this leaf that is shaped like a heart, though it’s not all perfect but I think that makes it even mor beautiful. Our morning glories is growing all around, inside and outside, but I love them, I think they have the most wonderful flowers, and every day there are new flowers. The photo is taken while the early morning sun was shining through our window.

I guess this looks a bit odd, a door whit a huge lock outside. The house is a part of an old castle (Nyköpingshus) from the 1200 century and I think they just like to keep people outside, or what do you think? It certainly makes me curious…

Suddenly the rain has gone and the air is filled with crisp and its so wonderful to breath in. This photo was taken after weeks of rain and finally the sun return an awesome moment when I felt a lot of you, which I hope shows:)
Hopeful times ahead… For me this is the time of the year when the light slowly returns after some month hidden in darkness. Soon spring will arrive and the sun starts to warm up the frozen ground. Lovely times are coming. This week the children in Sweden have a week of. Many people go to the north skiing. It ‘s usually a great time to be outside, warming sun and some snow, a lot of light for us who haven’t had any for a while:)
