Time for refueling
I have to stop by here to show you some photos from my “Tuesday refueling hike”:) Yes I managed to get a Tuesday hike, in between som examinations and other tasks to complete.
It was an amazing day. The weather at the moment was all gray. But no wind, no rain, and a bit dark… But what I found outdoors was stillness and wonderful autumn colors. It was like nature was waiting for something to happen, the mood was a bit strange.
It really felt peace and calmness, just walking around in the forest, watching a calm lake in our way.
We where hiking at Sörmlandsleden, a hiking trail that is about 1000 km long, this part was about 10 km and is situated around a lake called Nävsjön. A very beautiful place, every season.
Wonderful Lake Como
This summer we went to Lake Como for hiking and enjoying the lake:)
We stayed in a small village: Varenna from where it is possible to do several hiking trips. All trails is a bit demanding, its partly very steep but the views are, of course amazing.
On the first day we went on a boat trip cross the lake to Lenno. We took a small walk around the park surrounding Villa Balbianello. Here you can see the view from one point during the walk.
Later on during our week in Varenna we was hiking some harder trails. For example we walked above Varenna, passing the Castello di Vizio, ending up in a village called Bellano. Below you can see some views from that trip.
There is no such thing as bad weather:)
This summer we spent a week by the Como Lake in Italy. It offered different kinds of weather for us. Most of the days where sunny and hot, but one night we had a horrible thunderstorm including hard wind, rain and thunder… When we waked up the next morning the lake and mountains was all covered in moisture, it was really amazing to watch. We witnessed a scenery with clouds and haze in a wonderful mix.
I can see all weathers as beautiful in there own way, they are creations of natures great art:)
The view in the photo is from our apartment, situated above the lake.

Home sweet home
Long time no seen… Finally back home:)
This summer have been busy, but in a good way. I have travelled to three countries, I have been in the sun by the pool, I have been hiking by the Como lake, and there have been some city life in London.
My summer has been fantastic. But I’m happy to be home now:) This morning was one of this beautiful August mornings… Haze over the sea and the sun trying to come through. The feeling is unbeatable. I could feel heat from the sun through the haze. The water was completely still, no wind. The only sound was from some fishes hitting the surface.
So I’m back home, and back behind my computer. It will be a busy autumn, but a lot of fun. I’m going to be student and will learn a lot of new things. And of course I will spend some time blogging:)
I hope you all have had some wonderful time this summer and that you all are looking forward to the autumn with anticipation.
I could hardly see the horizon, all was covered in haze.
The sun will soon break through the haze
No sight of the forest at the other side…
My favorite flower is covered with spiderweb:)
I have spent a week at Crete in Greece. Now I’m back home and ready for new challenges:) My photo this week is taken in the Topolia ravin. At this place I looked up and down… It was really a lot of nice views there.

Midsummer – traditional celebration
In Sweden we have a traditional feast this time of the year -Midsummer. This years celebration was very nice. We went to Tullgarn castle, one of the Royal castles in Sweden.
There was all things needed, a maypole, dancing, live violins and picnic. The weather was fine, no rain but cloudy, no wind and a temperature at 23 °C. We enjoyed the celebration, the environs and the weather. The garden was wonderful and the sea views amazing. A great place to celebrate Midsummer:)
Below I show some photos from the environs of the castle, from the castle itself to the stunning views over the Baltic Sea. I hope you will enjoy:)

A natural curve shapes a heart
It took me some time to find a curve that I thought would make a great interpretation for this weeks theme. Nature is filled with natural curves, all shaped in artistic ways.
I found this leaf that is shaped like a heart, though it’s not all perfect but I think that makes it even mor beautiful. Our morning glories is growing all around, inside and outside, but I love them, I think they have the most wonderful flowers, and every day there are new flowers. The photo is taken while the early morning sun was shining through our window.

Time for recreation and recovery
Last weekend we finally got out hiking, after a long winter. This winter I have been studying full time and working, also full time. That means hardly no time for recovery. I have been longing for some time of, and finally I have got it:)
We planned for a hike during to days on Sormlandsleden, a 1000 km long hiking trail in magic landscape. We brought a tent for camping and took of. Absolute, 100 procent freedom -for me. We crossed through the forest, passed near some cows in a meadow. The main part of this trail (we walked 18 km) was following the coast by the Baltic sea, which mean some awesome views.
We found a calm and silent place to camp, far from the nearest house. Close to the sea and with a small beach just beside our camp site.
A calm evening, and we spent some time just relaxing and reading.
The most amazing experience on this hike was waking up to a clear, blue sky. The only thing that broke the silence was some birds:)
The weekend was awesome and we will do it again as soon as possible! Camping in nature brings magic to a tired soul:)
The greatest art
There never will be any greater artist than nature itself. The reflection is wonderful, blurry and abstract with absolutely amazing mix of colors. I never get bored of watching the fantastic creations of mother nature:)
