This weekend was amazing, first days of spring with sun and a stunning blue sky. We went out for a short hike, for some time in the sun and to eat some food outdoors.
We had a really wonderful weekend out there in the sun, with small projects like making a fire and cooking lunch:-) Hot chocolate is a must for my familiy on such hiking trip.
After lunch we went looking at the amazing views around the lake. This lake is called Nävsjön and is a great place to visit all year. There were people out on the lake, fishing, I would not have gone out on the ice, but I guess they knew what they where doing.
Reflecting sun, slowly melting the ice.
The ice is melting fast and I wonder how long it is possible to sit on the ice for fishing.
Nature is a great artist, I think the color mix is stunning and spot on or what do you think?
I love when winter meets spring, don’t you do that to? We haven’t had much winter lately, not for several years. 5-6 years ago we had some fantastic winters in opposite to the latest years. We had lots of snow and then spring arrived. As a result the snow was slowly melting in the warm sun, much as it “should be”, according to me.
While I have been looking in my photo archives I have found some amazing winter photos. It seems like we have had days that are cold and crispy, while the sun light makes the whole world several shades lighter.
I also found wonderful, sunny spring day with melting ice. Finally the sea is slowly winning the fight against the compact ice and it breaks apart.
It’s lovely to see how finally the spring wins the fight and the water gets it’s freedom. It’s much the opposite to last year when we did not even notice that winter turned into spring. The last photos in this post is taken in springtime and summer. Both with wonderful evening light and stunning reflection. I hope you will enjoy and leave your opinion below about winter meets spring! What do you think about when you see this photos?
Another weekend comes to an end and it ends with a sunny Sunday. Snow and sun, brings a lot of light and makes me feel good walking in nature. I hope you have had a great weekend too with some time to relax and get som recover:)
I can´t think of a better way to start of a new year. I love the cold crispy air and snowy landscapes. Unfortunately most snow is gone now, we have had rain… I can still feel how great it was hiking in the cold sunny day. There was a lot energy in the air. Its an incomparable source of happiness:)
Below there is some more photos from our hike the other day.
First winter landscape 2017… First days with snow, a few weeks passed since Christmas and we finally got our winter:) The sea is, as always, stunning. What can be more amazing than hiking in a sunny winter day? Lot of wonderful light that brings new energy to a tired mind.
I hope you all are able to enjoy the new year and that it started well for you:) I will try to be a more active blogger this year, even if I still studying. BUT I love nature and photography and it makes me happy so I guess its a great way to recover.
Another stunning Friday morning, its not possible to describe in words or pictures how wonderful the experience was. Mornings is my favourite time of the day. I can watch the new day being born, its something special in that moment. I watch the colours of the sky shifting fast, from purple to orange, depending on in which direction I chose to look.
Mornings give us the opportunity to feel grateful for receiving the gift of another day. But also to feel grateful for the honour to watch the beauty of the new day, the beginning of e new life cycle<3
Earth is such a beautiful place. Every time I’m outdoors, near the sea or in the forest I feel calm and I feel trust in something bigger than us. Nature is calming and healing, as always. I have spent far to much time inside lately, busy studying. I learn a lot but I never calm down enough:D Its no big effort to go outdoors for a few hours, its so worth it and I’m aware of that. Still i don’t prioritise it a lot. But today it happened, I went outdoors all day in the warming november sun. Now I’m fileld with a lot of new energy and can go on studying for hours:) Have a wonderful weekend<3
The forest is my favourite place, next to my other favourite: the sea, of course…
Every season has its charm: winter, spring, summer and autumn! Love the change in colours and weather. Soon winter will arrive and I hope we will get a lot of snow this year:) Snow make the world a bit more magic and I think we all need some magic in our lives, or what do you think?
But for today I enjoy the last pictures of wonderful autumn colours, which I think will do just fine! Glad for my trips outdoors, they bring me a lot of energy.
I have to stop by here to show you some photos from my “Tuesday refueling hike”:) Yes I managed to get a Tuesday hike, in between som examinations and other tasks to complete.
It was an amazing day. The weather at the moment was all gray. But no wind, no rain, and a bit dark… But what I found outdoors was stillness and wonderful autumn colors. It was like nature was waiting for something to happen, the mood was a bit strange.
It really felt peace and calmness, just walking around in the forest, watching a calm lake in our way.
We where hiking at Sörmlandsleden, a hiking trail that is about 1000 km long, this part was about 10 km and is situated around a lake called Nävsjön. A very beautiful place, every season.
This summer we went to Lake Como for hiking and enjoying the lake:)
We stayed in a small village: Varenna from where it is possible to do several hiking trips. All trails is a bit demanding, its partly very steep but the views are, of course amazing.
On the first day we went on a boat trip cross the lake to Lenno. We took a small walk around the park surrounding Villa Balbianello. Here you can see the view from one point during the walk.
Later on during our week in Varenna we was hiking some harder trails. For example we walked above Varenna, passing the Castello di Vizio, ending up in a village called Bellano. Below you can see some views from that trip.
