Weekly photo challenge: Nighttime

Nighttime in the weekly photo challenge

This post is an entry in the weekly photo challenge on the theme nighttime. To read more or to participate, please click on the link.

I think nighttime photography is awesome, and hard to accomplice. I don’t have a tripod which results in high ISO (1600) and photos that not are so sharp and clear that I want them to be. In my photos for this week you will se one handheld photo with ISO 1600 but you will also see some photos from last December, where I’d borrowed a tripod (ISO is just  set to 100).

I like the sharpness in the later photos, but the first one contains more of a story with a couple sitting on a beach in the night. I hope you will enjoy my entry and I am also checking on yours to se what you have chosen for this theme.

Problems with my site

I have recently had some problems with this site. There have been some conflict with some plugins that I now hopefully have found and deactivated. I apologize for the inconvenience it might have caused you when visiting kerlundphoto. I hope that now things will be back to normal, with another theme… Thank you for reading and welcome back!

A visit to Södermalm, Stockholm

Södermalm, Stockholm

Södermalm is now a trendy part of the Swedish capital. A oas high above the rest of Stockholm. You can find nice walking paths with a view over the rest of the city. Old houses can be found everywhere and here is a lot of street life. The great thing is that you can also find a lot of flowers, gardens and nature, in the middle of the city:) If you like to sit in the street having a coffee while watching all the people passing by, this is the right place. I visited Södermalm yesterday, a sunny and warm day, we really had a great time walking around the area. I hope you will enjoy my photos from our trip.

By the water -a morning in calmness

Water lillies

As you might already know: I love early mornings by the sea. The calmness is overwhelming and the light is wonderful. A moment of silence before the rest of the world wakes up.

Autumn is comming

Ain’t no sunshine when she is gone…

End of summer, goodbye sunshine!

I’m now back in blogging, and it’s a reliable sign that the autumn is here. Our sunny days will soon be over and here in Sweden we will once again be covered in darkness. Of course there are some sun in the autumn and winter as well but the days are getting shorter for every week now. In december the sun will be up between 09.00 and 15.00. That is a rather short day, don’t you agree.

Right now the world is beautiful, turning from summer to autumn, soon there will be all these colored leaves and a wonderful daylight. But in a way I grieve the summer every year, when “she” left us. I will miss you, but we will meet again next year:) Now in to a new season and some new views of life and nature. I hope you will come here to visit during the autumn, I will publish some photos from nature and sea. And I will also look back to the summer and a trip to Mallorca, you will get a report in photos.

Until next time I hope you enjoy my my amazing sunflower.
